AWS Data Engineer - Remote

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong professional background building software applications with Python
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting production workloads in AWS
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Working knowledge of AWS networking, security, IAM, and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience developing and maintaining event-driven and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of reliability, monitoring, observability, and operational excellence
• Proven ability to take solutions from concept through to production
• Capacity to work across software engineering, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML domains
• Experience building highly available, reusable platforms rather than single-use solutions
• Strong ownership mindset and a passion for scalable, maintainable systems
• Experience with data engineering and modeling tools such as DynamoDB, Aurora, Redshift, Neptune, and Amazon S3
• Experience with machine learning and AI platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Feature Stores, model monitoring, and MLOps practices
• Experience building knowledge retrieval and RAG solutions
• Experience using Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases, OpenSearch, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and real-time data processing
• Experience with Kafka/Amazon MSK, Kinesis, EventBridge, AWS Glue, API Gateway, and AI application or agent development
• Exposure to AI-powered applications, agentic architectures, Amazon Bedrock Agents, containerized workloads such as ECS/EKS, CloudWatch monitoring, Secrets Manager, and secure AI deployment practices

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and services in Python
• Develop and support APIs, automation frameworks, data processing pipelines, and AI-enabled services
• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles and tools
• Create longitudinal data models and contextual intelligence platforms using AWS data services
• Build and productionize machine learning and predictive analytics solutions
• Develop knowledge retrieval and RAG-based systems that deliver trusted, traceable information to AI applications
• Design real-time event-driven architectures that handle behavioral and operational data streams
• Enable AI and agent-based applications through secure, observable, and scalable cloud services
