HOUSEKEEPER# HOUSEKEEPERBig Lake, TX 76932## OverviewSalary Range$12.25 - $16.54 HourlyPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftDay## Description**This position works 7 days on and 7 days off from 7 am to 7 pm.****Summary of Responsibilities:**The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors in hospital and long-term care facility. This role involves cleaning patient and resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces while following infection control and safety procedures.**Essential Duties and Repsonsibilities:*** Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.* Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.* Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.* Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and cleaning products.* Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, and fixtures.* Follow infection control policies and procedures to help prevent the spread of illness.* Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and damaged equipment to the appropriate department.* Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.* Respond promptly to housekeeping requests.* Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of residents.* Comply with all facility policies, safety regulations, and applicable health standards.## Qualifications**Qualifications/Standards:**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: None required.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Previous housekeeping, custodial, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred but not required.SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIREMENT: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Visual and auditory acuity are necessary.
