Job Title: Payroll Clerk 

Duration: 3+ Months

Shift Timing: Regular Hours

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour on w2 without benefits 

Note: “Need someone who can start as soon as possible”  

Job Description:

• Respond to payroll-related inquiries, conduct research as needed, and provide accurate and timely information to employees and departments.
• Communicate payroll issues, discrepancies, and concerns to management promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with HR Benefits, Payroll, IT, HR Information Management, Accounting, and other departments to resolve payroll-related matters.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service to employees and departments while supporting payroll staff with daily processing needs.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation for payroll communications, adjustments, transactions, and employee record changes.
• Ensure all required supporting documentation is properly organized, maintained, and available for payroll processing and audit purposes.

• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn and use payroll, HR, and administrative systems.
• Knowledge of payroll processing procedures, including payroll adjustments, employee records, and supporting documentation.
• Experience with or knowledge of Banner HR EPAFs and employee record maintenance.
• General knowledge of Payroll Services forms, procedures, and requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.
• Ability to meet payroll deadlines and maintain accurate, timely, and complete records.
