Role OverviewThe Assistant Site Director - Grocery Stores oversees daily store operations by maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-staffed environment; managing inventory and administrative processes; supporting facility and customer issue resolution; collaborating across functions; and leading a high-performing team through clear goals, feedback, and a positive, mission-driven culture. Job Responsibilities
- Support overall store operations and maintain a clean, secure, and safe environment. Ensure full compliance with company policies, safety standards, and food safety protocols. Ensure facility repairs are completed and follow best practices to pursue efficiencies and safety. Ensure adequate staffing and high levels of client satisfaction. Oversee store in absence of the Site Director and partners with supervisory chain on situations of risk, including conflict resolution with customers, staff, or vendors. Effectively delivers timely written and verbal reporting of store operations to WIC leadership team and other stakeholders, as needed. Maintain a flexible schedule as needed, including evenings and weekends.
- Participate in all aspects of the inventory management within the store, coordinating the ordering, receiving, distribution, and return processes. Support monthly inventory audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data. Assist with reconciling inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain visual merchandising standards and stock levels by directing staff and participating in daily activities such as stocking, lifting, and handling inventory.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and data as required by external entities and internal organizational guidelines. Manage and performs an array of administrative tasks, including collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data to comply with funding requirements. Work with external stakeholders as necessary.
- Work collaboratively and cross functionally to ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop the team by setting clear goals and expectations, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback and guidance. Inspire team excellence by modeling accountability, collaboration, and solutionoriented thinking, and ensure team members are supported, empowered, and high-performing while fostering a positive, purpose-driven culture.
- Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
- Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time

- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 1-3 years relevant experience
- Supervisory and/or Retail Experience
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office
- Associate's Degree (AA) 3-5 years relevant experience
- Management and Retail Experience
- Advance Microsoft Office Skills
- Minimum Food Handler Certification
- Preferred SERV Safe Manager Certification
