Critical Care Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients experiencing severe medical issues such as heart attacks, strokes, and trauma. The ideal candidate will participate in a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver effective assessments and treatments in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized patient care plans.
• Treat wounds and provide advanced life support.
• Assist physicians in procedures and operations.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs accurately.
• Ensure proper functioning and adjustment of medical equipment, including ventilators and monitors.
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications effectively.
• Provide suctioning and airway management as needed.
• Collaborate with the critical care team for comprehensive patient care.
• Respond to life-saving situations following nursing protocols.
• Act as a patient advocate and provide education to families.
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess current ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications (TNCC preferred).
• Wyoming RN License or Multi-state RN License required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience caring for pediatric/adolescent patients is a plus, as floating may be required.

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 07:00 to 19:00. Candidates must be flexible to float between campuses based on patient census.

This is a 13-week contract position.
