Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer

Software Engineer IIIsI Enterprises is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer II to be an integral part of a fast-paced agile development team. The developer will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and supporting an industry leading software platform. As a full-stack engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of both our backend services and frontend components.Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware DevelopmentCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design, develop, and enhance features for our enterprise web application.Implement scalable and efficient back-end solutions using Kotlin, and design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end components using React to deliver an exceptional user experience.Work closely with engineers to define and implement APIs that facilitate business use cases, with a focus on secure integration, proper logging and monitoring, and clear documentation.Security-First DevelopmentEmbed secure coding practices into development work, including input validation, authentication and authorization controls, least-privilege access, and encryption in transit and at rest.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality, consistency, and the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities.Quality, Reliability, and OperationsDebug and remediate issues discovered by team members, users, and test automation in a timely manner.Monitor the performance and security posture of our application in production and take action to ensure reliability.Collaboration and ProcessWork with a fast-paced agile team through pull requests, scrum ceremonies, and feature documentation.Design technical solutions to business use cases, write technical documentation that captures those solutions, and be prepared to defend solution choices to the team.Leverage AI tooling to enhance SDLC processes and deliver fixes and new features efficiently.Qualifications:4+ years of experience architecting, building, deploying and maintaining web applications2+ years of experience in full-stack web developmentExperience using AI tooling such as Claude, Codex, or an equivalent service to develop enterprise softwareProficiency in front-end development using React.js and related technologiesStrong programming skills in Kotlin or other JVM-based languagesExperienced with relational databases using SQL, specifically Postgres SQLStrong experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs, with a focus on secure integration, scalability, and clear documentation.Experience with LLM integrating AI into SaaS platform.Familiarity with version control systems such as GitExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members at all levelsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent work or military experienceExperience with AWS architecture and services such as EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, and RDS.Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practicesFamiliarity with secure software development practices and compliance frameworks such as CMMC, NIST SP 800 series, DFARS, or equivalentAny experience with FedRAMP controls implementation for cloud platforms would be a plusExperience integrating AI features in business applicationsWhat we offer$120,000–$155,000 annual salary rangeRemote workA casual, friendly, and relaxed work environmentProfessional growth encouragement and supportIndustrial Security Integrators, LLC ("IsI") is an equal opportunity employer committed to affirmative action and diversity in the workplace.
