Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed pharmacist is needed to provide professional dispensing and patient care services in an outpatient/retail pharmacy attached to a hospital setting. This 13-week contract assignment is located on Nantucket, MA, offering day shift hours with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week. The position will start as soon as possible to cover a current vacancy.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients in an outpatient/retail pharmacy setting
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care
• Maintain compliance with state laws and hospital policies
• Manage inventory and help maintain pharmacy operations efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive, professional attitude

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts pharmacist license (required)
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Full-time availability to work scheduled day shifts
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Adaptability to living and working in a unique island environment

Location and Work Environment:

• Position is based on Nantucket Island, requiring ferry transportation (applicant responsibility for ferry costs; some assistance provided)
• Housing is provided in shared accommodations with other travelers due to limited local availability
