This on-site, contract opportunity runs through the school year, offering you the chance to work closely with students and educators in a supportive academic setting.

Position Highlights:

• Work one-on-one or in classroom settings with students needing sign language interpretation
• Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week, based at a single school location
• Serve a PK-8 student population—grade level assignment and caseload to be confirmed with the school coordinator
• Immediate start with commitment through late May 2027
• Interviews for this role will be held the last week of October

What We're Looking For:

• Completion of a recognized certification for Sign Language Interpreting (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: BEI I or II (previous system) or Basic (current system))
• Experience working as a certified interpreter, preferably in a K-8 or school setting
• Ability to collaborate well within a multidisciplinary educational team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Candidates must successfully complete district fingerprinting and background check requirements
• Flexibility and adaptability for working with various age groups and student needs
• Internal “prescreen” interviews may be conducted to determine fit for the assignment
