Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT) is a day-shift position for a highly skilled surgical technician with broad, current experience across orthopedic, neurological, vascular, and other surgical procedures. The role requires strong critical-thinking abilities, knowledge of central processing and instrumentation, and participation in scheduled call rotations.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; excellent critical-thinking skills; knowledge of central processing and surgical instrumentation; broad, current experience with orthopedic, neurological, vascular, and other surgical procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role includes approximately every fifth weekend as a call weekend, with one to two call assignments per week. Holiday call rotation may be required. Call assignments require a 30-minute response time from the time of the call to arrival on site, and call volume may vary based on department needs and staffing.
