Pediatric Hospitalist - AdventHealth Tampa (Tampa)

Overview

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalists to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa in association with AdventHealth for Children/Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric admissions in our 15‑bed Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit
• Support ED pediatric consults and participate in daily family‑centered rounding
• Cover the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with support from an Advanced Practice Provider
• Work a flexible schedule of approximately 14 12‑hour shifts per month for a full‑time pediatric hospitalist, including days, nights and weekends
• Assist with the 28‑bed Level 3 NICU on site with 24/7 Neonatologist coverage
• Assist with the 5‑bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on site with intensivist coverage
• Provide support for Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Medical Specialty services on site

Practice Description

This is an employment opportunity that includes call coverage and competitive compensation. Hospital Description

AdventHealth Tampa is a not‑for‑profit 536‑bed tertiary hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, serving Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and surrounding counties. The hospital specializes in cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women's services, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robotic‑assisted procedures. AdventHealth Tampa also houses the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute.

AdventHealth for Children Walt Disney Pavilion

As part of the collaboration, patients receive support from a full‑service tertiary children's hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102‑bed NICU, a 17‑bed pediatric emergency department and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. The program includes a comprehensive open‑heart program, level IV epilepsy program, BMT and solid organ transplant services, and expanded NICU beds to 150.
