Associate Scientist/Scientist I, Molecular Function

Profluent seeks an experienced protein engineer to build high-throughput platforms for measuring protein-protein interactions and lead phage display campaigns. The role is bench-focused, involving assay development, screening strategy design, and creation of model-ready datasets in collaboration with ML and protein design teams.

Responsibilities

• Build founding high-throughput platforms for identifying and measuring protein-protein interactions
• Lead phage display campaigns end-to-end from library construction through validation
• Design and troubleshoot selection strategies including antigen selection and stringency optimization
• Collaborate with ML and protein design teams to plan campaigns and define model-ready data standards

Requirements

• MS with 3+ years industry experience or PhD with 0-2 years in molecular biology, biochemistry, protein engineering, or related field
• Deep hands-on expertise with phage display and antibody discovery
• Strong molecular biology skills for library construction and design
• Solid understanding of NGS-based screening and data quantification
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and attention to detail with careful record-keeping
