Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with hands‑on experience in 5G technology, end‑to‑end networking, and Linux‑based systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing 5G systems and networks, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test 5G systems and networks, including 5G devices and infrastructure Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure end‑to‑end networking solutions meet customer requirements Develop and maintain Linux‑based systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization Conduct performance analysis and testing of 5G systems and networks, identifying areas for improvement Develop and implement automation scripts using Linux‑based tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement system architecture, including network topology and device configuration Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to 5G systems and networks Stay up to date with emerging 5G technologies and industry trends, applying knowledge to improve system design and performance Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on 5G technology and end‑to‑end networking Hands‑on experience with 5G devices and infrastructure, including radio access networks (RAN), core networks, and transport networks In‑depth understanding of end‑to‑end networking concepts, including network architecture, protocols, and devices Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams Desired Skills: Experience with cloud‑based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) Knowledge of network function virtualization (NFV) and software‑defined networking (SDN) Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git) Expertise with Linux‑based systems, including Linux kernel configuration and optimization Linux networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Linux scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including network protocols (e.g., FTP, SSH), network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls), and network architecture (e.g., LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi) Willingness to travel once a month for a week Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a Top Secret clearance; no clearance is required at hire. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance is mandatory. US citizenship is required. Salary Range: Annual base salary range for this position is $89,300 – $157,550 in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington and Washington DC. For other states, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
