Inpatient Med Surg/Oncology RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays, and every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Med Surg/Oncology RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in oncology nursing, although this experience is preferred but not required. The position requires strong nursing skills and the ability to manage a patient load effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to inpatient oncology and med-surg patients.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage patient IV lines.
• Monitor and report patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and treatment options.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN.
• Current RN License (WV or Compact License required).
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; ONS chemo/bio certification preferred.
