Job Details Location: Topeka, KS 66606 Position Type: Full Time Shift: Day Organization Overview Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly). Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. Finance Department Responsible for managing the organization’s money and ensuring it can sustainably provide care services. Tasks include creating and overseeing budgets, tracking revenue and expenses, processing payroll, and handling billing for services such as hospice or home health care. Additionally, the department ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and nonprofit financial standards through the preparation of financial reports, audits, and tax documents. The finance team analyzes financial data to help leadership make informed decisions, plan for future growth, and maintain the organization’s financial health. Controller Manages the general ledger, supervises accounting staff, and oversees processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, tracking budgets, leading month‑end and year‑end closings, and ensuring audit‑ready records. The controller also plays a key role in compliance and strategy, coordinating audits, developing internal controls to prevent errors or fraud, and supporting budgeting decisions and financial stability.
