Position: Pharmacy Technician
Location: 4620 S Sam Houston Pkwy W, Ste 440, Houston, TX 77053
Duration: 3 Month contract to start, potential for extension and/or conversion to FTE
Rate: $20-24/Hr
Start Date: ASAP
Position background:
Accurately pick, pack, and process outgoing pharmacy orders in accordance with established procedures and local State Board of Pharmacy
Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to packaging medication and supplies, ensuring the integrity of the product for our patients.
Perform various warehouse functions such as emptying trash, assembling boxes, cleaning work area, processing and cleaning returned equipment etc
May also assist with inventory duties, including proper storage and restocking of medication and supplies, receiving, and unpacking vendor shipments, and performing counts of physical inventory
May also support administrative tasks for the Pharmacy, such as scanning documents
Create or fix shipping labels as needed and bring packages to shipping, mail, and courier as needed.
Communicate with the Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacy Supervisor regarding all patient questions and/or issues
Adhere to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations and Confidentiality and Code of Conduct.
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Texas
National Pharmacy Technician Certification
1+ year experience as a Pharmacy Technician
The temp hire will be standing about 75% of their work day
and expected to lift approximately 25lbs.
Hours: Either 8-5pm or 9-6pm, Monday through Friday
Min Education: High School Diploma or GED
