Activities DirectorWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Activities Director to join our team at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glade Valley in Walkersville, Maryland. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for directing the development, implementation, and supervision of the activities program designed to meet the social, psychosocial, and therapeutic needs of our residents. If you are passionate about creating engaging and meaningful experiences for others, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.Responsibilities:Plans, organizes, supervises, and directs all administrative and operational activities of the Activities DepartmentDevelops and implements a comprehensive activities program that meets the social, psychosocial, and therapeutic needs of residentsCoordinates and schedules activities, both individual and group, to ensure a diverse and engaging experience for residentsMonitors and evaluates the response to programs to determine if they meet the assessed needs of residents, and makes revisions as necessaryEnsures that each resident is offered at least one cognitive activity, two recreational activities, and three ADL activities dailyOversees the transportation of residents to social activities programsCollaborates with the care team to ensure that activities are tailored to the unique requirements and skills of each residentRequirements:Must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional with a licensed or registered status, if applicable, by the state in which practicingMust be eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; orMust have 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program; orMust be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; orMust have completed a training course approved by the StateWhat We Offer:Competitive salary range of $50,000 - $55,000 annuallyOpportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team of professionalsProfessional development and growth opportunitiesA supportive and inclusive work environment that values compassion, respect, and teamworkHow to Apply:If you are a motivated and experienced Activities Director looking for a new challenge, please apply for this exciting opportunity.
