Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in Rumford, Maine. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 3 trauma center hospital. The ER team handles a diverse patient population, including all ages with various illnesses and injuries, requiring exceptional clinical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a small hospital setting within a community that relies on rapid response and comprehensive emergency services.

Job Details:

• Location: Rumford, ME
• Facility: Emergency Department at a Level 3 trauma hospital with 25 beds, offering 24/7 emergency care, primary care, diagnostic, and medical-surgical services.
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, starting 08/10/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER or relevant emergency nursing experience, with a minimum of 0 years if applicable
• Preferred Skills: Proficiency in triage and handling diverse and complex cases; ability to work independently as one of only two RNs in the department.
• Additional Notes: RN will manage all ages, illnesses, and injuries, often caring for critically ill patients in a small hospital setting that is the only accessible emergency care facility within 40 miles of a trauma center. The unit operates with a patient ratio of approximately 1:2.5, utilizing EHR systems such as Omnicell, EPIC, and SBAR for communication.
