Shipping Coordinator - 1st Shift The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for processing daily shipping documentation, coordinating freight, and supporting the shipping team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer orders. This administrative role works closely with warehouse, sales, and other internal departments to maintain efficient shipping operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare daily shipping paperwork including pick lists, packing lists, and bills of lading Process daily and rush orders; print and distribute paperwork to shipping team Maintain daily shipping log and record order errors or delays Verify order accuracy prior to release Obtain inbound and outbound freight quotes Compare truckload pricing to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery Provide freight rate quotes to the sales team Coordinate customer-routed and third-party shipments Prepare customs documentation, including NAFTA and USMCA forms (approximately 10% international shipments) Support process improvements and assist in standardizing procedures Work cross-functionally with all departments Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow company safety standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Experience in a warehouse or shipping environment preferred Working knowledge of industry shipping standards Computer Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Data entry skills required Experience with Lotus and Mac-Pac software preferred Licenses Valid Driver's License required
