RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Scrub with Structural Heart Experience

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x10 hours (Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 17:30).

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for scrubbing in the Cath Lab for various procedures, particularly with a focus on structural heart interventions. This includes working closely with cardiologists and other team members to ensure high-quality care for patients undergoing procedures such as TAVR and other complex PCI interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub for all catheterization procedures, maintaining sterile technique and assisting the physician as necessary.
• Handle complex procedures including balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, and thrombectomy.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide telemetry support throughout the procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive perioperative patient care.
• Participate in call rotations, including callbacks and weekends as required.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and equipment within the Cath Lab.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting, specifically with structural heart procedures.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice; NC or Compact licenses are acceptable.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Experience scrubbing for complex cardiac procedures and telemetry monitoring.
• Strong understanding of EKG rhythm interpretation.
