DOT Safety Compliance Coordinator

Oversee driver qualifications, physical exams, drug testing, hours of service, vehicle maintenance, prepare for audits and safety training to maintain compliance and prevent violations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn transportation compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Driver Qualification File management: Maintaining accurate driver records including licenses, medical certificates, background checks, and employment history. Drug and Alcohol Testing: Implementing and managing random drug and alcohol testing programs for drivers as per DOT regulations. Hours of Service monitoring: Ensuring drivers comply with legal limits on driving hours and rest periods. Vehicle Maintenance Oversight: Checking that vehicles are properly inspected and maintained to meet safety standards. Accident Investigation: Investigating accidents involving company vehicles and taking corrective actions to prevent future incidents. Safety Training: Conducting regular safety training sessions for drivers on DOT regulations, defensive driving techniques, and hazard identification. Compliance Audits: Performing internal audits to identify potential compliance issues and address them proactively.
