Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions for obstetrical patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and cesarean section settings
• Administer medications safely, including magnesium sulfate, and perform electronic fetal monitoring and vaginal exams in accordance with current standards of practice
• Circulate and assist in cesarean section deliveries, including scrubbing as needed
• Provide triage, prioritization, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management for women and neonates of varying gestational ages, diagnoses, and complications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care, support breastfeeding education, and provide discharge teaching and planning
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and model patient safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact licensure
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience including antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean section, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• Hospital-based clinical experience required; ability to circulate cesarean sections required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience with C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record and Perinatal Centricity (QS) preferred
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
• Ability to scrub and assist in deliveries preferred
