The more you participate, the more you earn!Potential responsibilities in this job could include providing medical nutrition therapy for infant, pediatric, and adult patients requiring the ketogenic diet for epilepsy and other metabolic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role focuses on development and ongoing management of individualized ketogenic diet oral and enteral feeding plans, including formula selection, macronutrient ratios, feeding schedules, and monitoring of growth, tolerance, labs, and metabolic parameters. The dietitian provides patient and caregiver education of ketogenic diet therapy and enteral feeding techniques, safety, and long-term management. Frequent patient follow-up and communication is an important component of quality care while managing the ketogenic diet, as well as accurate and detailed documentation. The dietitian collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including Neurology, nursing, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals across inpatient and outpatient settings.
