We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our dynamic grocery retail upfit team specializing. Key Responsibilities Travel to job site within the Southeast Night shift (open store environment) Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans to execute construction tasks accurately. Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials such as wood, drywall, framing, and other structural components. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Collaborate with project managers, Superintendents, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, managing tools and materials responsibly. Troubleshoot and resolve on-site construction issues promptly and effectively. Assist in the supervision of junior team members and subcontractors as needed. Hourly compensation plus per diem and mileage. Lodging covered by McCrory. Requirements Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as a Carpenter in commercial construction environments. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans. Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform demanding manual tasks Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., OSHA certification) are a plus.
