What You Will Be Doing

• Performing thorough assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions either autonomously or in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Providing education to patients and families on preventive care and disease management strategies
• Prescribing medications and treatments as permitted by your licensing
• Engaging in continual follow-up care and chronic disease management

• Maintaining meticulous records using electronic medical documentation systems

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Washington
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its equivalent
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
