The schedule follows a Monday through Friday, daytime school schedule. The traveler will not be paid for school holidays, teacher workdays, or school closings due to inclement weather, allowing for natural breaks throughout the year that align with the academic calendar. You will support a caseload of approximately 40–45 elementary students in a single K-5 school setting. This role focuses on providing high-quality speech and language services that help students access their education and reach their individualized goals. Key responsibilities include completing comprehensive speech and language assessments, participating in eligibility determinations, and developing individualized treatment plans within the IEP framework. You will regularly monitor and document student progress, update goals as needed, and communicate results and strategies to teachers and families to support classroom generalization and home carryover. The SLP will participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with general education teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, administrators, and related service providers. You will help develop classroom strategies, provide in-service guidance when needed, and contribute to a positive, student-centered school climate.
