Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical/Telemetry units to provide comprehensive patient care. This role involves managing a diverse patient population with multiple co-morbidities, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting, including stroke (neuro) patients.
• Monitor telemetry remotely and on the unit, ensuring accurate interpretation and response to EKG rhythms.
• Conduct feeding tube care, manage IVs, ports, and lines including PICC and central lines.
• Implement isolation precautions, wound care, and use of Wound Vac devices.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all required assessments, documentation, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with necessary state requirements.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent inpatient experience, including telemetry and critical care environments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health records and telemetry monitoring.
• Have current BLS and NIH certifications.
• Be able to work 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 to 19:30) and float across multiple facilities.
• Pass a required EKG exam with up to 2 attempts.
