• Prepare items for shipment by comparing information against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Determine the best method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Affix shipping labels and stencil identifying information on cartons and containers.
• Use spacers, fillers, and protective padding to insert items into containers safely.
• Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage as needed.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and coordinate with shippers to resolve issues.
• Route items to appropriate departments and maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate tier-lift trucks or hand trucks to move shipments within the facility.

Requirements:

• General Education
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Forklift experience
