Job Overview A law firm seeks a patent agent or associate to join its Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution practice group in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and relevant industry experience. Duties Draft and file high-quality patent applications. Oversee and manage patent preparation and prosecution. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of submissions. Focus on electrical engineering and software-related technologies. Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in patent preparation and prosecution. Admission to the USPTO is required. JD and active bar admission required for associate candidates. Education Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics. Certifications Admission to the USPTO. Skills Superb writing and communication skills. Ability to draft, file, and prosecute patent applications related to advanced technologies.
