The Emergency Room RN is responsible for providing high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. They will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working collaboratively with the medical team. Responsibilities:
- Administer emergency nursing care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries.
- Perform accurate patient assessments, prioritize care needs, and document findings appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient vitals and response to treatments, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Epic electronic health record system.
- Adhere to all safety, compliance, and confidentiality protocols.
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license in hand prior to start date.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to float within scope across ER and similar units.
- Epic experience preferred.
