Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a cancer hospital OR with multi-service surgical expertise across robotics, neuro, thoracic, and ENT procedures.

Details

• Cancer hospital operating room setting
• Day/evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Call and weekend coverage required as needed
• Scrub and circulate duties across multiple surgical services including surgical oncology, thoracic, colorectal, urology, GYN oncology, head & neck/ENT, neuro, ortho, plastics/reconstructive, and robotics

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required
• BCLS certification required
• Circulate and scrub experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in robotic surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and ENT procedures required
• Experience in multiple specialty services including ENT/Plastics flaps/microvascular, endoscopic procedures (Bronch/EGD/EBUS/LS), neuro (craniotomy/EEA/skull base), thoracic, and robotics required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist with circulating and scrubbing across a wide variety of surgical specialties
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract, including travel to an in-state fingerprinting location if within driving distance
• Former employees eligible for assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
