The mail service encompasses courier, delivery, crisis support, mail scanning, registry services, and screening for suspicious substances or explosives.
Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :
- The mail service encompasses courier, delivery, crisis support, mail scanning, registry services, and screening for suspicious substances or explosives.
- Process controlled mail
- Collect and recycle outdated telephone books or other publications and distribute new publications, when/where applicable.
- Provide mail service to the AC/SFO, OST and other OST facilities and dispatch classified and unclassified mail to several entities located within the KAFB boundaries.
- Mail personnel will process shipments only to overnight/classified common carrier addresses verified in the DOE/NNSA AC/SFO and NNSA OST Office's Classified Mailing Address Program database via the Intranet.
- May arrange for commercial courier service if necessary
- Shall sign receipts for all packages received
- Processing classified, confidential, secret, and top secret mail
- Q Clearance - Allows access to Classified information up to and including TOP SECRET data with the special designation: Restricted Data (TS//RD) and special Q-Cleared "security" areas.
- L Clearance - Allows access to Classified information up to and including SECRET data with the special designation: Formerly Restricted Data (S//FRD) and special L-Cleared "limited" areas.
- Possesses strong organizational and clerical skills in order to ensure that every package and letter is delivered to the correct individual on time
- Demonstrates basic computer skills for the purposes of data entry
- Shows strong professional and communications skills for dealing with the other employees within the facility.
- Displays the ability to multitask and perform many different dutiessuch as delivering mail, collecting mail and answering questionsall at the same time.
- Minimal High School Diploma
- Must be a US Citizen
