Position summary Responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects including; scope, schedule and budget. Also, responsible for business development, financial success, and managing staff for the department at the local level. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from any JMT office in the state of North Carolina. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly Lead and contribute to the production of proposals Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff Establish resources staffing needs for the section Interview and hire staff for the section Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teams Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program Professional Engineer License or equivalent 10+ years’ experience in specialized discipline Project management and business development experience Qualifications Preferred Experience working with local clients at the county and state level Supervisory experience Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
