MARKETING COORDINATOR

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies that promote the Multi-Purpose Event Center (MPEC) and enhance Wichita Falls’ appeal to visitors. The position will serve as a digital creative and social-first content specialist, developing engaging visual, written and digital content for social media, websites, email campaigns, advertising, publications and promotional materials. Responsibilities include graphic design, copywriting, short-form video production, website and social media management, email marketing, and application of SEO and other digital marketing practices. The position will monitor digital and social media analytics, identify trends, and use performance data to improve content and marketing campaigns. The Marketing Coordinator will also support special events, tourism initiatives and promotional activities while collaborating with the Marketing Manager and department staff. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, creativity, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to marketing, digital communications, tourism promotion and creative content development. Experience in event marketing, destination marketing, tourism promotion or a related field is preferred. Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, is highly desirable. Strong graphic design, writing and editing skills are expected, with the ability to create engaging content across a variety of platforms. Experience with social media management, short-form video editing, email marketing, website content management and digital analytics is highly desirable. Working knowledge of SEO principles, keyword strategy and digital content optimization is preferred. Strong photography skills and proficiency with professional cameras are preferred. The ability to adapt to changing digital platforms, trends and emerging content formats, work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities is essential.

# CODE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. L Regular and reliable attendance in compliance with given schedules is a mandatory requirement of this position. Schedules may be subject to change with or without advance notice.
2. S Assist in the design of high impact visual concepts that effectively market Wichita Falls for tourism and event related purposes.
3. S Assist with writing and edit copy for marketing materials including e-newsletters, blog posts, webpages and other assigned projects.
4. S Responsible for developing engaging content creation, scheduling, and monitoring all social media platforms for both the CVB and MPEC. This includes, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and any other assigned platform.
5. S Analyzes social media engagement performance through the use of key performance indicators, including search engine optimization.
6. S At the direction of the Marketing Manager, coordinate with event and concert promoters for social media marketing and create regular social media insight reports.
7. M Participate in community and networking events with the goal of advertising upcoming MPEC events. Includes but is not limited to, set up and tear down of booth, engaging with customers through giveaways, promotions, etc., and partnering with local media for advertising and news stories. May provide marketing and/or event assistance when needed for large events.
