As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and designers, contribute to meaningful client work and start building the technical and professional skills that will shape your career. Your Role

Ever wonder how everything outside a facility comes together? VAA's Civil team focuses on maximizing site functionality through roadway and track layouts, utility coordination, stormwater management, grading, drainage, erosion control, truck simulations and permitting for agribusiness, industrial and commercial facilities.

Working under the direction of a Project or Senior Engineer, you'll have opportunities to:

• Develop design solutions using your engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and other design documents
• Learn and apply design codes and industry standards
• Build your skills using industry design software
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and other VAA disciplines
• Visit construction sites, observe work in the field and see your designs come to life
• Take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow

Potential travel: Approximately 5% to construction jobsites.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027, or recently graduated
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
• Interest in working collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects

Starting Annual Salary Range: $69,000–$85,000

A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer, including market data, geographic location, experience and specialized skills.
