Job Overview A law firm seeks an attorney with 1-4 years of experience in civil litigation for an associate position in its Highway Accident, Wrongful Death, and Personal Injury Defense Litigation practice in Chicago, Illinois. The attorney will engage in all phases of written discovery, research and case analysis, depositions, court appearances, and briefing and motion practice in state and federal court. Duties Conduct written discovery and research. Analyze cases and prepare legal strategies. Participate in depositions and court appearances. Draft and file briefs and motions. Requirements Admittance to the Illinois bar. 1-4 years of experience in civil litigation. Experience in the transportation industry or defending personal injury, property damage, or subrogation claims preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Illinois. Skills Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
