Emma Willard School Part-Time Driver

Emma Willard School seeks a part-time driver to transport student(s) to and from off campus activities such as athletic events, music lessons, college classes, internships or other community commitments.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Safely drive students to and from off-campus commitments
• Punctual and collegial
• Keep accurate records of attendance
• Timely communication for the safe and efficient pick-up of students.
• Daily inspection of the vehicle and maintaining accurate records of trips.
• Be a positive force in the lives of students.

Minimum qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety and best practices
• Have a good working knowledge of Google platforms (especially email and Google Calendar)
• Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to manage priorities
• Demonstrate superior judgment
• Be an advocate for the Emma Willard School mission

Physical demands/work environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, rain, snow, sleet, high winds, etc.
• May be required to work beyond the scheduled time to ensure the safe transport of student(s).

Preferred qualifications/competencies:

• Previous professional driving experience (School Bus, CEVO/EVOC, private service, medicab/ambulette, ride share services, etc.)
• Experience working with teenagers.
• Flexible schedule, able to add one-off trips in addition to recurring ones.
• CPR/First Aid Certification

Compensation:

The driver will be compensated at a rate of $23 per hour with a minimum of one hour for each assignment.
