We're seeking an experienced K-12 Education Construction Superintendent based in the Charlotte, NC area who is willing to travel throughout North Carolina and neighboring states. This role is ideal for a construction leader with a proven history of serving as the Lead Superintendent on large, complex projects, not simply as part of a larger field team.We are particularly interested in candidates with experience delivering projects in K-12 Education in either the Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC or Greenville, SC areas. The ideal candidate combines strong technical construction expertise with exceptional leadership, safety awareness, and relationship-building skills to drive successful project outcomes from start to finish. They will also have a base of strong subcontractor contacts and positive reviews from the school districts they've served.What You'll Do:Lead all field operations from mobilization through project closeout on large and complex construction projects.Serve as the primary field leader, directing project execution, site logistics, schedule coordination, quality control, and safety performance.Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and local authorities.Manage and hold subcontractors accountable to scope, schedule, quality, and safety expectations.Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.Coordinate work activities across multiple trades while proactively identifying and resolving field challenges.Collaborate closely with Project Managers and project stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.Mentor and develop field staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.What You Bring:Demonstrated success serving as the Lead Superintendent on large commercial construction projects.Experience in the following markets: K-12 Education, Higher EducationStrong knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.Proven ability to lead subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades in fast-paced environments.Exceptional safety leadership and commitment to maintaining a safe, productive jobsite.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability and willingness to travel throughout North Carolina and neighboring states as project needs require.A reputation for professionalism, accountability, and building strong relationships with project teams and clients.Why You'll Love It Here:We are a growing, thriving 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) company where our people have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
