Administrative Medical Assistant Program ManagementThis position includes responsibility for the management and administration of the Administrative Medical Assistant (AMA)/ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program including planning, evaluation, budgeting, maintaining the program accreditation, classroom instruction, and overseeing curricular and clinical training. The duties of this position encompass the requirements of the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB) accreditation process. This is a 214/7, initially non-tenure track faculty position through Summer Quarter 2026. The position becomes tenure-track beginning Fall Quarter 2026. This program may qualify for the High-Wage High Demand annual stipend. This position will be open until filled.Essential Functions & Other DutiesActively contribute to and participate in college-wide activities and maintain friendly, cooperative, and mutually supportive relationships with fellow staff.Actively contribute to and participate in college-wide activities in support of regional accreditation and state and federal requirements.Assist with establishing, implementing, and analyzing student learning data to make program and curricular improvements as needed.Be knowledgeable of and equitably enforce college policies, regulations, and operating procedures.Provide classroom instruction of up to 49% of a full-time teaching workload, as assigned.Coordinate the delivery of instruction to AMA/CMA students with the other program faculty and ensure that instructional design and delivery support the approved performance objectives for the program and is consistent with current industry standards and meets the compliance with education requirements as stated by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB) Standards.Deliver classroom management to maintain suitable learning environment by responding appropriately to student conduct/problems and provide assistance in solving them in accordance with college procedures.Develop and maintain processes and policies for student recruitment, program enrollment, entry requirements, progression through and completion of the program, job placement, and employment trends in accordance with the college practices.Develop and maintain productive relations with businesses, industries, healthcare facilities and other organizations in the community which are pertinent to the program.Develop and/or maintain industry-based program accreditation, and ensure students are prepared for and have the opportunity to obtain relevant industry credentials and certifications.Ensure students are prepared for and have the opportunity to obtain relevant industry credentials and certifications, coordinate and support job placement assistance to students.Ensure that curriculum and instructional design and delivery support the mission, philosophy and objectives for the program and college.Help prepare and administer the program budget and regularly monitor status of expenditures; oversee equipment, supplies, materials, and physical facilities to meet program needs, prepare requisitions for purchases; maintain operation of program equipment and facilities and maintain inventory records.Maintain accurate and current program information, including promotional material and program webpage.Maintain program's CAAHEP MAERB accreditation by ensuring all related reports, fees and activities are executed in a timely manner to meet the requirements of national accreditation, federal and state regulations, and college policy.Manage the learning environment through keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing school/campus academic and attendance policies.Monitor student outcomes with other program faculty and adjust course content to facilitate student success.Must be knowledgeable about the CAAHEP MAERB Core Curriculum, knowledgeable about the program's evaluation of student learning and performance, and effective in ensuring appropriate and sufficient evaluation of student achievement in the practicum experience.Support the activities of program faculty and staff including developing job descriptions, input on hiring, teaching assignments, input on performance reviews, and professional development.Support the delivery of instruction to AMA/CMA students; work closely with faculty to develop, deliver, monitor, and evaluate program curriculum and outcomes.Serve as the primary liaison to the AMA/CMA technical program advisory committee.Facilitate the planning, organization, and coordination of the program including the program policies and operations.Participate actively and collaboratively in student recruitment.Participate actively and collaboratively with College Student Services and program advisory committees to support access to employment opportunities for students and maintain student job placement records.Plan, execute, and evaluate program goals, objectives, data collection, program review, and related activities, and prepare annual and self-study reports.Provide budget management which includes requisition and maintenance control of, and safeguard inventories of equipment and supplies assigned to the program.Remain current with industry standards and current technologies.Serve on or provide input to other groups on issues related to medical assistants.Support College student achievement practices to ensure student retention, completion, and progression.Teach assigned AMA/CMA courses to students enrolled in program with primary responsibilities being classroom/online instruction, clinical competency, and workplace behaviors.Update course curriculum as needed, including performance objectives, competencies, lesson plans and content in accordance with accreditation and college standards.Non-Essential/Other FunctionsActively contribute to and participate in college-wide activities in support of regional accreditation and state and federal requirements.Support College student achievement practices to ensure student retention, completion, and progression.Participate actively and collaboratively with College Student Services and program advisory committees to support access to employment opportunities for students and maintain student job placement records.Accountable for keeping personal development up to date;
