Senior DevOps EngineerLocation: Chicago - onsiteDuration: 06-MonthsRole Description:Major Duties:Cloud Architecture ManagementDesign, deploy, manage scalable infrastructure on Azure using services like AKS, FrontDoor, Key Vaults, APIM, App Gateway, etc.CICD AutomationDevelop and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions and Gradle).Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform.ContainerizationManage containerized applications with Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (Centralized AKS).Monitoring ObservabilityImplement monitoring, logging (Dynatrace and Azure Monitor) and alerting for production systems.SecurityImplement security best practices, encryption, and controls at the infrastructure and pipeline levels.Collaboration MentorshipWork cross-functionally with devops teams, lead technical initiatives.Performance ReliabilityTroubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability (SRE principles).Knowledge/Skills:Bachelors degree or equivalent.At least 5 years of DevOps/Software Engineering, proven track record with complex systems working within a distributed cross-functional team.Proficient with Terraform CloudDeep expertise in Azure.DevOps ToolsProficient in CICD tools, GitHub, Gradle, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes.Scripting LanguagesPython, Go, Java, Bash scripting.NetworkingSolid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers.NTAC3NS-20Experience with Relational databases Azure SQL, Snowflake, OracleNon-relational databases RedisMessaging Confluent KafkaHands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesAble to organize, moderate, and demonstrate value-added principles and practices to the teams.Experience mitigating Sonar, Checkmarx, CAST scans.Experience with continuous integration and test-driven development practices, test automation and tools.Empowered self-starter comfortable to take the lead and manage multiple initiatives with ability to effectively collaborate across teams and departments.Knowledge and experience in tools such Azure DevOps Dashboards and Confluence a plus.Experience in the financial service industry is a plus.
