Job Opportunities Markleeville, CA – Alpine County Sheriff’s Office Range 43B: $34.38‑$41.80/hr. Position: Permanent Part Time – Approx.: 8hrs/week Final Filing Date: May 10, 2026 Minimum Qualifications One year as a Deputy Sheriff I in Alpine County or two years in other law enforcement agencies. High School diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of college‑level coursework leading to an associate’s degree in criminal justice, police science, or a closely related field (desirable). Possession of a Basic P.O.S.T. certificate (required). Intermediate P.O.S.T. certificate desirable. Public safety CPR certificate. Valid California driver’s license. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $34.38‑$41.80 (based on Range 43B). This part‑time position is approximately 8 hours per week and does not include benefits.
