Position: Vote by Mail Opening Clerk

Industry: Elections Office

Assigned Work Location: Orlando, FL 32806

Pay Rate: $15/hr.

Assignment Dates: October 16th to November 3rd.

Vote by Mail Opening Clerk Responsibilities:

• Assist with the Vote-by-Mail opening process in coordination with the Vote-by-Mail Support & Mail Clerk
• Assist with the Ballot removal from certificates and preparation of ballot batches to be processed
• Assist with the duplication process
• Assist with completing control sheet paperwork for processing batches
• Assist with support on the high-speed machines
• Assist with research and resolution of batch errors and retrieve certificates if needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned

What will you need as a Vote by Mail Opening Clerk?

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior work experience in a customer service position
• Prior work experience in a position with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Good listening skills and desire to serve customers
• Have reliable transportation
• Ability to sit for long periods of time while sorting paper
• Ability to commit to the full assignment as hours of work are not guaranteed
• Report to work on time
• Be able to speak and write English
• Must remain nonpartisan while on duty
• Refrain from using personal electronics or other distractions while on duty
• Agree to be seen by public via live stream cameras
• Be comfortable with Media presence and or being recorded.
