General Maintenance Worker
The purpose of a general maintenance worker is to perform repairs, fix and maintain equipment, buildings, and machines.
Essential Functions
- Focuses on general maintenance and air conditioning technician.
- Performs various maintenance jobs as directed.
- Demonstrates initiative in identifying potential problems or opportunities for improvement.
- Responds to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Participates successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment.
- Ensures adherence to safety guidelines and procedures established by Walton County School District.
- Performs carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to understand construction blue prints and other construction documents.
- Maintains proper care of tools and equipment, coordinates with logistics staff for needed items.
- Works independently with little direct supervision.
- Keeps needed staff informed on repair status.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
Successful experience in job related area preferred.
