Full-Time opening for a Board Certified Psychiatrist in our Tampa location. Responsibilities Assess and treat mental illnesses through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication. Engage in regular discussions with patients to explore problems and help them find solutions through changes in behavior, exploration of past experiences, or group and family therapy sessions. Collaborate and supervise with mid-level providers. Provide emergency treatment orders as needed. Administer medications to correct chemical imbalances contributing to emotional problems. Use Athena, the computerized medical record system, for progress notes, orders, and timely medical record reviews and completions. Deliver person- and family-centered care. Demonstrate understanding of developmental/age-specific issues in the treatment of patients. Interact effectively with patients, supervisors, coworkers, and external agency employees. Perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Comply with policies and procedures regarding workers' compensation, risk management, and security.
