Overview
Radiation Therapist needed for a travel assignment in Watertown, NY. This 13-week position supports the oncology department in a hospital-based setting, delivering external beam radiation therapy under the supervision of the radiation oncology team. Start date is 10/01/2026, with 40 guaranteed hours per week on daytime shifts (8am–4:30pm). Weekly pay ranges from $3,036 to $3,232 per week.

Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed external beam radiation therapy according to the treatment plan, ensuring accurate dose delivery.
- Operate Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and use IX imaging and ARIA software for treatment management and documentation.
- Prepare and position patients using immobilization devices; perform image-guided verification prior to each treatment.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and the physics team to ensure patient safety, dosimetry accuracy, and quality control.
- Maintain complete and accurate treatment records; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies; keep registries and licenses current.

Requirements
- New York State license in hand
- ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist)
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Minimum one year of radiation therapy experience
- Current BCLS certification
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based oncology setting
