Data Engineer

Data Engineer Location: McLean, VA (on‑site client environment) Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph Compensation: Competitive. Excellent Benefits. You will work as part of a mission‑critical and fast‑paced team processing large amounts of images, extracting and enriching metadata, and displaying resulting data in meaningful ways for other key stakeholders and teams. You will utilize a mix of COTS and custom‑made tools and technologies, as well as build integrations within a variety of internal and external partner applications. Required Qualifications Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance. Demonstrated experience building production data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows at scale. Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark for distributed data processing. Advanced Python programming skills including data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and data engineering best practices. Experience understanding data security, privacy, governance, and compliance. Experience with containerization such as Docker or Podman, and deploying data applications in cloud environments. Experience with AWS services (in particular S3, Lambda, and Step Functions). Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments, including performance tuning and schema design.
