POSITION SUMMARY

The Heavy Equipment Operator II performs skilled equipment operations involving small utility work, bulk excavation, and cut/fill operations. This position operates multiple pieces of equipment and works independently to support project production and quality goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate dozers, mini excavators, wheel loaders, track loaders, and support equipment.
• Perform bulk earthmoving and utility excavation.
• Load and unload materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and safe operating conditions.
• Follow grade stakes and project plans.
• Learn and utilize GPS machine control systems.
• Support and direct work activities as needed.
• Maintain all company safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience in site development or utility construction.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.


Preferred:
• GPS experience.
• CDL Class A or B.
• OSHA certifications.

COMPENSATION

$33.00 - $37.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Overtime opportunities available.
