Transportation Engineer

Growing Our Communities | Growing Our Capabilities | Growing Our People Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Transportation Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to join our team. In this role, you will work under the guidance of a Manager or Principal on a variety of transportation projects, as well as other public and private site/land development work as needed. Typical responsibilities include preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules. You will also prepare calculations and reports for various disciplines and phases of transportation projects, such as horizontal and vertical profiles, cross sections, signing and striping plans, stormwater drainage and pipe sizing, water systems, sanitary sewer systems, grading, erosion control, and permitting. You will coordinate directly with clients, contractors, industry partners, and jurisdictions, and support construction administration through site visits, coordination meetings, and inspections. Note: No relocation assistance available for this position. Required Qualifications Registered Civil Engineer in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain within six months Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience 6+ years of experience in the planning, design and/or construction supervision of transportation, public works, commercial, or storm water management projects Proficient with computer applications/design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word Strong technical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Ability to collaborate on large projects with team members, consultants, and clients Capacity to work independently for extended periods with limited supervision Authorized to work in the United States Desired Skills and Experience Familiarity with design standards for the Portland‑metro area and ODOT Professional Engineer registration in Washington (PE) is a plus Experience with Vehicle Tracking, ArcGIS, MS Project, and Bluebeam Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Experience implementing Low Impact Development (LID) features on public or private projects What We Offer Annual Salary : $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience (exceptionally qualified candidates may be considered for a Senior Civil Engineer position, with compensation up to $140,000+) Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, long‑term disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) 401K plan with company match PTO and 9.5 paid holidays Paid annual dues for professional licensure and organizations Fun, collaborative & team‑oriented culture Free parking In‑office gym and shower How to Directly Apply Please submit a detailed resume to View email address on click.appcast.io outlining your employment history, organizational, volunteer activities, and professional registrations.
