Senior Manager, External Innovation and Partnerships

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Manager to identify and evaluate emerging technology partners across AI, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software domains. The role combines strategic thesis development, ecosystem sourcing, and cross-functional leadership to build a qualified partner pipeline addressing enterprise priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic theses on emerging technology trends and translate market signals into actionable enterprise priorities
• Build repeatable sourcing and evaluation frameworks for deep tech, AI, infrastructure, and security domains
• Map and cultivate external ecosystems including startups, vendors, academia, and technology partners
• Conduct opportunity assessments and deliver executive-ready analyses on strategic fit, feasibility, and business impact
• Create playbooks, governance mechanisms, and decision frameworks for evaluating and progressing external partnerships

Requirements

• 4–6+ years in enterprise technology strategy, product, engineering, venture ecosystem, or external innovation
• Deep familiarity with AI/ML, enterprise software, data platforms, security, cloud infrastructure, or advanced compute
• Demonstrated ability to develop technology theses and translate them into focused sourcing pipelines
• Strong capability communicating complex technical concepts to senior leadership
• Experience building and maintaining relationships across startups, vendors, and research ecosystems
• Comfort operating in matrixed environments and leading cross-functional consensus-building
