The Assistant Director of Finance (ADF) is one of two fully cross‑trained, interchangeable senior staff level positions responsible for supporting the Director of Finance in managing all financial operations of a multi‑program human‑services agency with an employee population ~270. Programs Supported: Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Public Transit, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations & Accounting A/R, A/P, payroll Oversight Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning Grants, Contracts & Funding Compliance Public Transit Financial Oversight Payroll & Benefits Oversight Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit/governmental fund accounting
• Experience with grants management and multi‑fund accounting
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• High integrity and confidentiality
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Supervisory experience

Preferred:

• Experience in human services, healthcare, PACE, or public transit
• Experience with federal and state grant compliance
