Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing care for a diverse patient population, including those with acute cardiac conditions, post-invasive cardiac procedures, and patients presenting with illnesses such as alcohol withdrawal, COVID-19, sepsis, and medication titration.

Shift Details

  • Full-time position
  • Shift hours: 1900 - 0730
  • Weekend requirement: Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Holiday requirement: Required
Unit Information

The unit is designed to care for a total of 59 beds across three areas, with staffing for 45 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, with 1-2 patient care technicians on each unit based on patient census and acuity. The breakdown of beds per unit is as follows:
  • 4 North: 28 beds
  • 4 South: 18 beds (cardiac observation unit)
  • 4 East: 13 beds
Equipment Used
  • GE heart monitors
  • Masimo vital sign machines
  • Stryker beds
Qualifications
  • Required:

    • Current RN license in Kansas
    • ACLS and BLS certifications
    • TR band experience
    • Minimum of 1 year of RN hospital experience
  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Professional Development

Candidates with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) are also encouraged to apply, provided they are willing to sign a commitment to obtain a BSN within five years.
